Welcome to the Kadener Lab! We are a curiosity-driven research group investigating the molecular mechanisms of RNA regulation and biological timing. Our lab explores two frontiers: the functions of circular RNAs (circRNAs) and the neural and molecular underpinnings of circadian rhythms. Using a combination of molecular biology, advanced imaging, genetics, and computational tools, we study how RNA molecules influence gene expression, brain function, and behavior across development and aging. Ultimately, our mission is to understand how RNA-based regulation impacts fundamental processes like neuronal function, aging, and neurodegeneration – knowledge we hope to translate into insights for health and disease.
